Abstract:The paper examines the differences and similarities in human resource management(HRM) in Turkey, an EU candidate country, and Hungary, a recent EU member country. 50 banks of which 32 from Turkey and 18 from Hungary are studied and the data is analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Even though some differences between the two countries are detected, the overall results of the study indicate that there is a convergence of HRM in the two countries.
