Abstract: | Corporate social responsibility (CSR) indicates businesses' positive impacts on the stakeholders. Measurement of CSR is still problematic, though. This study aims at offering an original, reliable, and valid measure of CSR reflecting the responsibilities of a business to various stakeholders. Based on a proposed conceptual framework of CSR, a scale was developed. An exploratory factor analysis was performed in order to determine the underlying factorial scale structure. Based on data collected from nearly 270 business professionals working in Turkey, there is provided a 4-dimensional CSR structure, incl. CSR to social and non-social stakeholders, employees, customers, and government. |
