Abstract:A longitudinal study investigated the existence of a relationship between applicant and interviewer postinterview reactions to the other party. Organizations' job offer decisions were not related to recruiters' postinterview or intentions or to their perceptions of applicants' intentions . The study supports the applicability of the theory of reasoned action to the recruitment process. It is possible that the campus interview plays a minor role in the formation of intentions and subsequent decision making by organizations and applicants.
