Abstract:A model for ranking coutries is developed that will enhance foreign direct investment (FDI) decision making (hereafter as: d-m.) in the e-commerce industry (here as: ind). Existing country attractiveness rankings (here as: ranks.) offer valuable information for FDI d-m. However, these ranks. are too aggregated to be useful on the ind. level. A list of criteria relevant for FDI d-m. in e-commerce was compiled for the model. The model provides a more refined and pertinent ranking of countries for FDI d-m. in the e-commerce ind. than is found in the published general country ranks (hereafter as: gen-publ.) Significant differences are indicated btw. the country ranking for FDI in the e-commerce ind. obtained by this paper's model and the gen-publ. country ranks.
