Abstract: | This study investigates the vital factors responsible for the demise of many dotcoms. To explore possible relationships (hereafter as: r-ships.) among the exo- and endogenous (here as: ex-and-end.) variables (here as: vars.) in accordance with business and technology strategies, there is a mediator model presented. The primary causes for dotcom failure are examined by two major analyses: 1. examining the r-ships. btw. ex-and-end. vars. based on the quasi-empirical findings from 50 failed dotcoms, and 2. conducting a non-parametric correlation analysis of the vars. The results indicate that exogenous vars., fund and competition, influence the endogenous vars., staff, front-end and back-end operation, and business strategy. |
