| Abstract: | Heinrich von Piere, the Chairman of the Board of Managers of Siemens ordered a comprehensive fitness programme for the German giant of the electricity industry, because the revolution declared four years ago came to a standstill. The key members of the Siemens management are described, the main problems of the corporation and the proposals to solve them are examined. Four issues are given special attention: the case of Nixdorf /this corporation belongs to Siemens/, the failure of the chip business, the challenge in the USA and question of bureaucracy within the corporation. |
