| Abstract: | The paper reviews the importance of placement as part of institutional provision both for preparing students for a changing job market and for facilitating their efficient and successful transition from university to employment. It identifies five prerequisites for effective placement: efficient mechanisms, good information flow between employers and institutions, understanding of job requirements, recognizing student needs and institutional action to meet the needs of students and employers. |
