Abstract:With a distinctive national character, an enthusiasm towards welcoming visitors and a richly vibrant and rewarding culture, Ghana's attractions as a tourist destination are second to none. The coast is the focus of the world famous, bi-annual PANAFEST festival. The capital of Ghana, Accra, as one of west Africa's friendliest cities has much to commend it as a stop-over with good hotels, fine restaurants and lively nightlife. Places to visit in Accra should include the excellent National Museum. The author describes in detail many Ghana's tourist attractions and states that Ghanaians are proud to offer, and welcome visitors to, one of the best tourism packages in the whole of Africa.
