| Abstract: | This paper suggests a 3-step capability-classification system taking into account 1. the division btw. company-specific and industry-significant capabilities (here as: caps.), 2. hierarchies of task-specific, functional and cross-functional caps., and 3. the structure of individual caps. The usability and the theoretical construct is tested by identifying and classifying the caps. of the leading North American and European wood-industry case companies. |
