| Abstract: | This paper empirically tests the hypothesis of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) existence for a stock-sensitive indicator, that is, the percentage of protected area (PA) within national territory. It does theorize that economic growth is a necessary condition in order to better address environmental issues. |
