| Abstract: | A recent report from a group of experts convened by the European Commission seeks to break the deadlock on the European Company Statute. It recommends a European Company with worker involvement based primarily on negotiations, though with a substantial set of fall-back provisions should nonagreement be reached. The draft European Company Statute is arguably the single item on draft Community lrgislation with social and employment implications which has proved most troublesome and difficult to progress. |
