| Abstract: | The Pacific Rim countries are establishing themselves as an industrial force to be reconed with, both as consumers and exporters of IT products. Now that Hong Kong is officially part of China once more, the world is watching to see how this impeccably capitalist state will fare under the control of the world's largest communist country. Yet the image of China itself as a primitive rural economy is no longer an accurate one. Along with Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, its manufacturing capabilities are growing rapidly. |
