Abstract:This study illustrates how and why the AGK-Export Association for War Material was established and how this organization and its member companies operated. Although the origins, tasks, and responsibilities of the AGK are delineated in detail, other aspects of armaments exports are only mentioned in passing. Two further areas of interests are the rivalry among German arms producers, and the relationship between AGK, German arms producers, and the Czech arms industry after the occupation Bohemia and Moravia in 1939.
