| Abstract: | The sectoral agreement on the organisation of working time in the maritime industry has recently been formally signed by the social partners and is now expected to form the basis of a proposal for Community legislation under the procedure provided for by the social policy Agreement. If this is successful, it will constitute a "first" for the sectoral dialogue process. The authors explain the context, examine the agreement in detail and look at parallel developments. |
