| Abstract: | This report covers the market for dental care products commonly used at home, including toothbrushes, toothpastes and tooth polishes, mouthwashes, pre- and post-brushing rinses, denture cleansers and fixatives, dental floss and tape. These markets were last covered in Retail Business No 390, August 1990. Electric toothbrushers, sales of which amounted to 8-9m pounds in 1993, are not covered. In 1993 the dental care products market reached a value of 413.7m pounds, with toothpastes taking over 50% of sales value. |
