Abstract:This article aims to explore the relationships btw. the organizational culture (OC) estimations and actual school performance vis-à-vis the size and location of Estonian secondary schools (here as: E-s-schs). The 2003 empirical study (n= 398) was conducted among the personnel of E-s-schs. The sample included representatives of school administration, teachers and support personnel. The OC estimations were measured by the OC questionnaire (Vadi, Allik, Realo, 2002), revealing task and relationship orientations of OC. For measuring performance, the national examination results were used. It is shown that managing and improving of the OC could contribute to the performance of schools.
