Abstract:Initially born as new means of telecommunication used by the large public, telematics have lately gained considerable popularity among industrials, farmers, shop-owners etc. as well. The new possibilities offered by telematics help the enterprises to build up new strategies, achieve growing results in operative marketing and improve the quality of services. The large amounts invested in France into telematics by the government seem to be justified and the benefits of this new branch of service could be hardly overestimated.
