Abstract: | The Paris Club unconditionally surrendered to Brazil, giving new loans without Brazil's acceptance an IMF program. Debt rescheduling makes no sense if not accompanied by serious and viable adjustment program. It is a bad policy to apply different criteria for different countries. Debtor countries have to make successful adjustments to attract new foreign capital. In addition, these reforms will improve the functioning of the domestic economy, too. |
