Abstract: | Organizations confront a variety of threats and crises coming from various internal and environmental sources. The coping ability of managers is of vital importance because crisis pressures can have a devastating impact on the organization. Described is an empirical study of crisis confrontation in an international management context. First, the crisis management literature is briefly reviewed. Then, the survey findings and their practical implications are discussed. Fifty-nine U.S.-based multinationals were investigated. |
