Abstract:Given their current resource and manpower constraints, developing countries will need to rely more heavily on the private sector to further economic development. The main industrial, trade and financial sector policies that developing countries should implement in order to create a positive business environment; to foster the development of private enterprises and to increase industrial efficiency are discussed. It is advised that adequate macroeconomic policies are preconditions for successful industrial growth.
