| Abstract: | The output from a pharmaceutical research project depends on the characteristics of the stochastic process generating the stream of candidate drugs (here as: c-drugs), and on the extent to which the c-drugs resemble each other chemically. This paper examines the impact of these factors on profitability, and on the policy followed for selecting c-drugs. |
