Abstract:The multiple perspective concept, which uses there types of perspective, namely technical-analytic, organizational-social and personal-individual, is in particular appropriate for risk analysis. One basic dilemma with the technical perspective is that the conventional probability becomes irrelevant when to deal with the conjunction of very low likelihood and very severe consequences. A number of considerations are swept in by the organizational perspective on Bhopal like proprietary information, stonewalling, contingency planning, management inertia, blind technology transfer and short term view on staffing.
