Abstract:This paper distinguishes btw. 2 kinds of products, 'symbolic' and 'substantive'. There are differences, e.g. symbolic products enter the utility function in a way which differs from substantive ones. This paper distinguishes among 3 kinds of symbolic products, proposing each having a distorted form.
