| Abstract: | To stabilize global population at around 10 billion, a combined strategy of effective family planning and broad-based growth and services are necessary. An effective attack on poverty is one of the most important elements of a strategy to limit pressure on the environment. These issues will be highlighted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development organised by Brazil in 1992. |
