| Abstract: | The promotion of new highly potential business ventures and venture capital is critically important to economic growth. Well-considered policies can profoundly stimulate such opportunities, but many public initiatives are misguided. This article evaluates the evidence behind these claims, in addition to the criteria that can delineate appropriate and inappropriate policies towards the encouraging of venture capital and high-potential entrepreneurship. |
