| Abstract: | In recent years, with the acceleration of the developing progress of the market economy, the situation of the supply and demand of domestic cotton is increasingly charged by the international cotton price. Since 1995, China's import and export trade of cotton continues to be net import while the supply exceeds the demand. The fundamental reason is the excessive price of cotton, which forms a sharp contrast to international cotton price, as well as hidden perils caused by the rigid price system. It is estimated that China's import volume of cotton will decrease in the year to come. However, the situation of export is not optimistic. |
