Abstract: | Behavioral research has been trying to find an answer to the question what determines effective decision making. According to recent literature, comprehensiveness plays a key role enhancing performance for firms facing turbulent market conditions, whereas for firms operating in stable markets it's effect is negligible. The purpose of this paper is to find a reason to this inconsistency. An empirical study of 85 business units indicates that the relationship between comprehensiveness and performance is more complex than prior research has been designed to observe. |
