Abstract:The article notes the growing problem of organisationally induced crises and argues that academia is not doing enough to help practising managers improve their crises management decision-making skills. Why and how case studies are likely to be helpful in this quest is a central issue and the article goes on to consider why and how cases can be used in teaching situations to develop managerial skills.
