| Abstract: | This article proposes an approach based on problematizing the dimension of time as a departure point for understanding organizations and how to organize. A notion of operative planning is important, including activities that are structured in time depending on when they have to be performed. An element for organization is the division of work along the time axis. Another element deals with a reversed meeting structure. A third element relates to how different individual perspectives get mediated to the common production through the relevant organizing. Basic features of Niklas Luhmann's decision-making and organizational theory are used. Presented are results from intervention studies in the construction industry (original in Norwegian). |
