Abstract:One of the most frequent, and certainly one of the most voluble pressures on management in all types of organization is to focus on customer needs - to be customer-led, to be market-oriented, to care for customers and so on. However, what is far less clear is how managers can evaluate and monitor, let alone change the performance of their organizations, in terms of achieving effective and productive customer focus. What can be put on the agenda are a number of ideas, things to try, and approaches to consider, in the pursuit of customer focus.
