Abstract:This article reports the results of a cross-cultural study carried out on job-related perceptions and motivations of business students and managers in the People's Republic of China and Canada. The major research objective was to investigate how the achievement motivation of Chinese, the characteristics they look for in employment, their value systems, and their general perceptions of attributes of business enterprises differed from those of the Canadians.
