| Abstract: | The development of the Changjiang River economic belt is linked closely with the opening up and development of the economy of Hubei province. Hence, the opening up pattern of all-directions with Wuhan city as a key link and an economic corridor along the River with planned distribution of industries should be established. It is necessary to give equally prominence to the state, collective, and private ownership while the state should strengthen its support to the development of this region. The paper argues that "a Changjiang River economic common community" across various regions should be set up, a new opening and developing region which aims at developing the resources in the middle and upper reaches of the River. |
