| Abstract: | In this article the author presents a comparative survey on the salaries of executives throughout the globe as of August 2001. The paper considers the number of hours worked by French workers and job fulfillment enjoyed by the British. In this paper the author also considers the topic of relationship between suicide rates and salary rates. The author states that comparisons may be odious but they are essential if Britain's managers are to assess properly their quality of life. In the text and tables the paper gives the lowdown on pay and conditions at home and abroad - who's best-paid and best-adjusted, by country, region, sector, age and role. |
