Abstract: | Environmental changes around multinational companies are discussed. The influence of socio-political activists is analyzed. Dealings of less-developed countries with the multinational corporations are examined. Possible conflicts of ill-conceived technology transfer are outlined. Changes in manufacturing caused by information technology are outlined. Questions of regulation are mentioned. In the future multinational corporations must co-operate in the face of better-informed and less acquiescing host country governments. The importance of developing a broader political of perspective is emphasized. The challenge of new competitors from the Third World is discussed. |
