| Abstract: | The European Structural Fund was established in 1964 by the EC Committee to finance structural change in economically weak regions, assist farmers and for retraining. It underwent a reform in 1988. The Maastricht resolution suggests further reform. The article describes organisational setup and mode of functioning of the fund. |
