Abstract: | This paper explores the proposition that the key to the success of any attempt at transformational change in an organisation is individual and collective "meaning-making" capacities of its senior managers. Only with developed meaning-making capacities a manager is able to work with exclusive frameworks, such as whole systems approaches. The meaning-making capacity can be developed, and it is possible for managers to embark on a type of learning which will enable them to transform not only themselves but also their organisation. |
