| Abstract: | This article discusses the different services people use to stay in contact with home while on a trip. The authors use the guiding ideas of intersubjective construction of space and location the terms "home" and "away" are studied in relation to regular contact made possible by these new communication services. Rosh White and White found that frequent contact with friends and family was associated with the feeeling of being simultaneously at home, by continued communication with the pre-existing social network, while neing away. |
