| Abstract: | This edition of managerial finance is concerned with various aspects of risk considered in terms of the manner in which it affects investors in companies. Risk is usually interpreted as referring to the fact that events may turn out differently from prior expectations. Risk cannot be divorced from business life but some of the consequences of risk can be anticipated and either avoided, limited or insured against in various ways. The identification, assessment and management of risk is the subject of this set of papers. |
