Abstract:Between 10 and 15 per cent of employees in the City of London take drugs that are likely to affect their performance. But many employers are still confused about the role of testing and their wider drugs control policies, according to Michael Turner. Clare Short, a prominent member of the Labour front bench, may have been criticized sharply for daring to start a debate about the legalization of cannabis, but the law - and public opinion - is far from immutable on the subject of drugs.
