RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Language:eng
Abstract:Despite Bangladesh being often cited as an international "basket case" by many in the Western world, there is at least one instance for which the country can certainly be proud. It has been able to offer to the world a distinct approach in the field of rural development, particularly on poverty alleviation. A number of organizations and individuals all around the world are currently experimenting with the idea and some of them have gone a long way in replicating the programme either partially or fully.
