Abstract:The author states that ethics is not limited to businesses. Ethics is also needed in nonprofit organizations, as well. It's needed in social clubs. It's needed in all avenues and walks of life. It is something that is essential as a guide for any organization, whether it's a public corporation, a charity, or even a government agency. The author's company, Guardsmark, was founded in July 1963 on the pillars of quality, excellence, opportunity, and basically doing the right thing. The author wanted the best people from every background, individuals who had intellect, work ethic, and honesty. The author states that they were really doing quality before quality was a business catch phrase. It was truly their foundation from day one.
