Abstract:Since China has entered the industrial times of heavy chemical industry in terms of economic development, the economic growth rate of 10% to be arranged is more rational whereas the rate of 8% is somewhat conservative. During the period the deposit rate remains high without sign of falling and the investment demand is very brisk is possible that the rate of investment in fixed assets will reach 37% to 38% during the Ninth five-year Plan period. However, the planned rate of 32% seems a little lower. Inflation has followed reform all the time. During the Ninth five-year Plan period, there may be one or two years when the inflation rate reaches 20% or so but it is difficult to reach the goal of controlling inflation at 7%.
