| Abstract: | In 1996, China's economic and technological development zones maintained a good momentum of economic development. The development zones in Tianjin, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shanghai's Hong Qiao, Fuzhou and Kunsan continued to play a leading role. The quality of invited outside investment had been improved. Most of the development zones became gradually the growth points in their parent cities' economic development. In 1997, the economy of these development zones will continue to keep a stable growth and the economic growth mode will be shifted from being extensive to being intensive. The industrial structure will be optimised further and the level of export-oriented economy raised. The investment environment will be more perfect. And their role of demonstration and radiation will be strengthened continuously. |
