| Abstract: | Generally speaking, China's macro economic situation has taken a favourable turn continuously since 1996 but some contradictions at micro level and in system are becoming increasingly outstanding. They are expressed as the coexistence of the following: high-level economic growth and inferior economic quality, the rising range of prices, which is falling again and great pressure of inflation, the western countries' control over China and the poor competitiveness of China's export products, the falling level of individual income and soaring employment rate, the basically balanced aggregate and irrational economic structure. The policy measures for reference are to adopt a proper monetary policy in a bid to make economy grow or to make policies including financial, industrial, income distribution and monetary ones operate co-ordinately etc. |
