Abstract:This study investigates the importance of employees' job satisfaction and pride in promoting positive employee behavior. The results indicate that both job satisfaction and pride are important factors that influence employee behavior. Managers who want to improve their employees' levels of job satisfaction and pride should (1) make sure that all employees understand the role that they play in the organization (including the scope of each employee's job); (2) provide employees with a work environment that is pleasing and provides them with rewarding experiences; (3) understand that employees' perceptions of management are important and that those perceptions should be monitored and, when necessary, improved by corrective actions.
