Abstract:This article discusses hosting sports teams and explores the specific needs of professional athletes. Sampled teams in this study are Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Basketball association. It is found that teams in each sport have specific requirements, although the players have some concerns in common. In addition, each individual team's policies determine the services a team will want during its stay at a hotel. However, all professional teams want security, enough room for single occupancy, and smooth front-desk service.
