Abstract:This study focuses on the analysis of firm-suppliers relationships, especially on their temporal orientation (here as: temp-orntn). It is considered that the context of SMEs differs from that of larger firms. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze their specific situation in depth. By means of an exploratory study, it is identified that generally, these relationships tend to have a long-term orntn., although with differing motivations depending on the firm size. Subsequently, by means of a confirmatory study, tested is an explanatory model of temp-orntn. The derived implications are discussed in the final part.
