Abstract:The author calls the attention to the special problem arising with insolvent computer companies, when the most valuable assets are their softwares. When computer software is concerned, the question of ownership may be confused. Copywrite laws also apply to software, further, a hybrid software may be a joint property of several firms. Care needs to be taken, if its full value is to be realized.
