Abstract:What is allowed in the USA and some other countries, is prohibited in Germany: the comparison of the advertiser's product with those of the concurrence in advertisements. However, this form of advertising can be legal in Germany too very soon, because, if the German ad market won't be liberalized, the Brussels centre of the European Community will force the German to accept the idea of comparisons in advertisements. The resistance in Germany against this idea is considerable, howevrer, these efforts arein vain.
