| Abstract: | In discussing the Gulf War, journalists discussed issues of concern to the professional community, the value of satellite-fed technology, and the advantages and disadvantages of reporting a war in "real time". CNN's role in the war has made the journalists think that its mode of news gathering indicates an end to recognized journalistic practice and the beginning of a new era. |
